With intentional care your new piece of jewelry can last a lifetime and can even be passed as an heirloom. Please follow these simple instructions to ensure the longevity of your jewelry.
- Apply cosmetics, hair products, lotions, hand sanitizer , perfumes and powder BEFORE putting on your jewelry and allow them to DRY COMPLETELY. These products are corrosive to gemstones.
- Remove your jewelry before showering, bathing, swimming, exercising, doing dishes and gardening. Water will wear away the polish of the stones. Remember - the Grand Canyon was formed by water!!
- Remove your jewelry prior to undressing to prevent snagging and breakage of chains or earrings.
- Store your jewelry in a sealed bag or box, and in a dry, dark place. Sunlight can cause the fading or discoloration of stones.
- Metals may tarnish over time or due to body chemistry and natural oils. These oils may also darken/change the color of softer stones. Polish your silver jewelry with a Sunshine cloth and be sure to avoid polishing the stones. DO NOT USE liquid polishes or dips. These will damage any gemstones.
